OpenDesks isn't just about desks and offices and conference rooms - it's about making it easier for the mobile workforce to work, and for those with extra spaces to get the most from them..
Finding Space
Freelancers, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and office workers can find exactly what they need - whether it's for an hour or a few days. Whether it's a desk to make calls from, or a conference room to hold a presentation. OpenDesks matches members to the right space, so they'll only ever see exactly what they're looking for.
Why would anyone want to do this?
Because asking someone to keep an eye on your computer gets annoying. Because being taken seriously with Kid Rock blasting in the background is difficult. Because working alone can get old. Because reliable internet isn't nice, it's a must. Because it's better.
Sharing Space
Anyone can share space. Companies, executive office suites and coworking sites with extra desks and offices, can share their space. Individiuals with extra room in their offices or buildings who want to help a friend out, can share their space. And, in the not too distant future, if you're working in a public space and want to tell people about it, that can be shared too.
Why would anyone want to do this?
Because making a few bucks off a desk that's just sitting there is a good idea. Because getting some new blood into the room can help liven things up. Because getting your company name in front of more people is never a bad thing. Because helping out a friend makes you a better one.
Managing Space
OpenDesks didn't set out to become a management tool. It just happened. While developing a way to manage OpenDesks spaces, we inadvertently created a way for companies to manage their own space. So now private offices can set up meetings and book conference rooms. Companies that want to open their space to coworking now can. And businesses looking to make some money off of an empty desk can manage it and find people to fill it.
Why would anyone want to do this?
Because work and meeting spaces are difficult to manage. Because it isn't your job to handle reservations and cancellations. Because it'll make life easier.
